Victory Garden Initiative Urban Farm.

The Farm.

This is a U-Pick Farm.

If you live in the area, especially in the Harambee neighborhood, this garden is for you. Pick what you would like when it’s ready for harvest, leave some for others!

We are a No-Till, No-Treatment Farm.

Tilling the garden can increase runoff that has negative impacts on the environment and reduces the natural formation of surface organic matter. Growing healthy, nutritious foods means we elect not to use fertilizers or pesticide treatments. All produce grown is non-GMO! We ensure our farm is operating at the highest capacity and fostering longevity for our climate.

Garden Bed Rentals

We have 7 remaining 8 x 4 ft garden beds available for rent on our urban farm located at 220 E Concordia Ave. The rate to rent a garden bed for the entire growing season is just $25!

The rental beds are the responsibility of the renter to clear and prepare for the season! It is recommended to start planting after the last frost and the growing season lasts until October 31st, after which we ask you clear your bed.

Garden beds are available on a first come, first serve basis. You can reserve your bed anytime for the upcoming season by texting/calling us at (414) 368-0172 or emailing our Volunteer Programs Coordinator.

Hot Organic Compost

80-100 Tons of Compost Per Year.

Fresh produce collected 6 days/week year-round gives us the capacity to supply organic hot compost to throughout the garden and to the community.

Our Compost is a Carbon Sink.

Organic compost takes carbon out of the air and revitalizes its surroundings while also providing nitrogen-rich soil that can also nourish the community.

Balancing the Matter.

The goal temperature is to be 140 degrees to 160 degrees year-round with an intricate ratio between green matter, brown matter, and carbon.
